Berlatar belakang pada era Dinasti Tang tahun 626 Masehi, terjadi pembantaian besar-besaran yang dilakukan oleh Li Shi Min (Geng Le) kepada keluarga Li Changge dari suku Uyghur tepat ketika tragedi Gerbang Xuanwu terjadi. Namun secara kebetulan, Putri Li Changge (Dilraba Dilmurat) berhasil lolos dan pergi berkenala dengan menyamar sebagai seorang pria dengan nama Qin Zhun (Dilraba Dilmurat). Dia berencana untuk mencari bantuan dan membuat kekuatan militer demi balas dendam pada Li Shi Min atas kematian keluarganya.

Li Shi Min ini paman dari Li Changge dan ayah dari Li Yue Yan (Rosy Zhao). Dia cewek yang lemah, pemalu, dan pendiam. Namun ditakdirkan untuk menjadi mandiri dan kuat. Li Yue Yang memiliki pacar bernama Hao Dou (Liu Yu Ning), seorang pembunuh berdarah dingin yang tegas dan Dia ditugaskan untuk melacak keberadaan melacak Li Changge. Putri Changge yang menyamar juga berhasil membongkar konspirasi yang ada di Youzhou. Setelah identitasnya terungkap Ia pergi ke Shuozhou.

Dalam prosesnya banyak terjadi pertarungan yang Ia lalui. Sebagai seorang pemimpin dari prajurit di Zhangzhou, Provinsi Shuo, Putri Li Changge ditawan oleh Jenderal Ashina Sun (Leo Wu) dari kerajaan Turki Timur Tua Khagan. Setelah itu, Ashina Sun mengangkat Dia sebagai penasihat strategi militer. Ashina sendiri dikenal tak pernah kalah dalam medan perang. Banyak konspirasi lain terjadi di masa itu, Li Changge dan Ashina Sun bersama-sama melawan dan menyelamatkan negerinya Dinasti Tang dan negeri padang rumput Ashina Sun.
