Drama yang mengeksplorasi sistem peradilan pidana dari perspektif yang sangat populer melalui kisah sengit dua pria seputar kasus pembunuhan seorang wanita. Kim Hyun Soo (diperankan oleh Kim Soo Hyun) adalah seorang mahasiswa biasa, sampai suatu malam yang menyenangkan mengubah hidupnya dan menyebabkan dia diidentifikasi sebagai tersangka utama dalam pembunuhan mengerikan terhadap wanita yang menghabiskan malam bersamanya.

Hidup Hyun Soo seketika jatuh ke dalam jurang maut. Dengan semua bukti tidak langsung yang mengarah padanya sebagai pembunuh, jaksa ingin menyatakan dia bersalah seiring dengan meningkatnya tekanan dari liputan media yang sensasional dan ambisi egois mereka.

Saat Hyun Soo menjadi pasrah dengan nasibnya, secercah harapan muncul untuknya dengan hadirnya Shin Joong Han (diperankan oleh Cha Seung Won), seorang pengacara yang di bawah standar tetapi satu-satunya yang bersedia mencoba membelanya. Melawan segala rintangan, pasangan harus melakukan pertarungan yang intens untuk mewujudkan keadilan mereka sendiri dan mengungkap pelakunya.
